Pepper Pete peppers are known for their distinctive phallic shape. They are used both ornamentally and in the culinary field, suitable for pickling, salsa, and as a spicy addition to various dishes. They are grown primarily in East Texas, Louisiana, and some parts of Mexico. Their unique shape has earned them nicknames such as "penis pepper" and "Chili Willie."

Sowing tips:
Sow the seeds on the surface and keep them moist and above 20C. Chili peppers generally require warmer conditions than tomatoes to germinate successfully. When sprouts appear, move them to a sunny window. Well-developed seedlings are planted when the weather is warm. They need rich moist soil and warm sunny conditions to thrive. They are best sown in early spring. Unlike many other peppers, these do much better in a hot greenhouse.
