OUR STORY
It all started from a seed
Chilli Hills was launched as a brand in early 2014 and has since operated as a boutique farm that grows rare chili peppers from around the world. Within hours of being picked, they are processed and preserved into hot sauces, pastes, marinades and many other diverse products.
The main goal of Chilli Hills is to contribute to the development of the chili culture in Bulgaria while also providing a quality chili product to the global chili market.
The proprietary line "Balkan Hot Sauce" introduces the first artisanal hot sauce in Bulgaria, which is also officially the hottest product in the country.

“From seed to bottle” is the brand's slogan and means that we control the entire production cycle - from planting seeds of over 70 types of chili peppers to growing, processing and offering them to the market in the form of various products.
LOCATIONS
Our products can be found in over 500 locations across the country, including reputable supermarkets, natural food and product stores, quality delicatessens, a number of gourmet restaurants, and selected markets and exhibitions. Since the summer of 2017, the Chili Hills range has been available in over 13 countries outside the country, and the number is constantly growing.
In 2017, we opened our first company store in Sofia, which was also the first specialized store for spicy products in Bulgaria. In 2018, a company store followed in the iconic Kapana district of Plovdiv, which was also the beginning of a new product category – franchise. Varna and Burgas followed.
In November 2020, despite the epidemic situation, we opened the first franchise company store outside the country, namely in Vilnius, Lithuania.
MISSION
Our mission is to bring back and popularize the Bulgarian Carrot hot pepper variety in Bulgaria!
With a special attitude towards product quality and the establishment of its own boutique style of work, Chilli Hills is becoming a quality label and a leader in the hot pepper market in Bulgaria.
Chilli Hills is the winner of numerous gold medals and awards from international food and beverage exhibitions.

- Fighting a global pandemic.

- Opening of a franchise store in Vilnius, Lithuania - the brand's first location outside of Bulgaria.
2019
- The first franchise of the brand opened in Kapana/Plovdiv.
- Four gold medals at the Interfood & Drink 2019 exhibition.
- Winner of the “Big Little” competition and a prize of 10,000 BGN.
- Export of products to 8 countries in Europe and Amazon.
- Presence in over 350 stores and chains across the country, including Fantastico, Billa and Kaufland.
2018
- Two gold medals at the Interfood & Drink 2018 exhibition for hot sauce “Bulgarian Carrot” and hot pepper jam “Habanero Jam”.
- Increasing the product range to over 35.
- Creation of the first own store in Sofia, which is also the first specialized store for spicy products in Bulgaria.
- Presence in over 200 stores and chains across the country.
2017
- Acquisition of investment from Smart Organic AD and launch of national distribution.
- Relocation of the chili pepper farm outside of Kokalyane to an area of 20 acres
- The product range exceeds 20 different types.
- Export of products to 4 countries in Europe.
2016
- Increasing the range of products, developing new recipes
- Outsourcing production to a licensed workshop in Boyana
2015
- Official launch of the first line of hot sauces under the Chili Hills brand, which are officially the first Bulgarian hot sauces.
- Launch of the first 100 hot sauces for sale.
- Setting up an improvised workshop in the farm garage.
2014
- Inventing the name Chili Hills, beginning experiments with hot sauce recipes.
- Company registration Chili Hills Foods Ltd.
- Founding of Street Kitchen - a mobile kitchen (foodtruck) with spicy food.
2013
- Planting 1 decare of chili peppers in the village of Kokalyane and creating the first chili pepper farm in Bulgaria
- The birth of a bare idea for creating a business model.
