Bulgarian Carrot Seeds from Chilli Hills
“Bulgarian Carrot” is the only variety of Bulgarian hot pepper that is known outside the country. It is a variety with a rich history!
The name "Bulgarian Carrot" comes for obvious reasons - it originates from Bulgaria and resembles a carrot (in color and shape).
It originates from Bulgaria, where it is known as Rumanka, and during the Cold War in the 1980s it was brought across the Iron Curtain and cultivated as a hot pepper variety. What makes it different from all peppers grown in Bulgaria is that it has unchanging genetic parameters - color, size and most importantly, spiciness.
