Sofia Chilli Fest : Shahina Wasim, Mike Jack and Alexander Kyurkiev (the founder of Chilli Hills) are guests on BTV's Predobej. The occasion is the upcoming Chilli Festival at the Chilli Hills Farm in the village of Lozen near Sofia.
UK chilli queen Shahina Wasim and the holder of 17 Guinness World Records - Mike Jack arrived in Sofia for the Chilli Festival.
Shahina Wasim is the Queen of Hotness from Great Britain. It all started with her by chance a few years ago when she signed up for a hotness challenge in Kingston and won the title. This, of course, turns out to be just the beginning of a long list of victories that she records! Shahina loves hot food served with something hot. She claims that she does not have any special superhuman powers or a high tolerance for pain! Hot peppers make her suffer just like most people. She dreads every competition, but she just can't give up when it comes to a hot pepper challenge!
"I feel like my first big achievement in the world of chilli came in August/September 2017. That's when I entered and won 7 competitions in 3 consecutive weekends. Starting with a win at the Abingdon Chilli Festival 2017, followed by 3 consecutive competition wins the following weekend at the Foodies Festival. And ending with the Foodies Festival in Oxford and another 3-day consecutive win the very next weekend. I'm sure my taste buds died after that. Nothing tasted good for a few days!
Mike Jack is the reigning three-time League of Fire World Champion and has won 17 Guinness World Records titles, including "Fastest Time to Eat 100 Carolina Reapers."
Mike also appears in TV series - "Superhot: The Spicy World of Pepper People" on Hulu/Disney+, "We Are the Champions" on Netflix, "Lo Show dei Record", "Al Chile" on Vix and his own TV series "Jack up the Heat".
